Sweet, spooky, and dripping with Halloween magic — a grape-powered vodka cocktail wrapped in a creepy marshmallow spiderweb.

The Black Widow is a Halloween cocktail that brings the fun of grape candy to your glass. Durty Gurl Vodka blends with grape juice and grape Kool-Aid for a bold, fruity sip with a vibrant purple hue. A sprinkle of cocktail glitter adds a little supernatural sparkle, while a stretched marshmallow spiderweb creates a creepy-cool finish that's made for Halloween parties. It's sweet, playful, and just the right amount of wicked.with a kick.

Prep Time: 5 minutes

Serves: 1 cocktail

Ingredients

★ 2 oz Durty Gurl Vodka

★ 2 oz Grape Juice

★ 2 oz Prepared Grape Kool-Aid

★ Cocktail Glitter, to taste

Optional Garnish

★ 1 Large Marshmallow

★ Extra Cocktail Glitter

Instructions

  1. Fill a cocktail shaker with ice.

  2. Add Durty Gurl Vodka, grape juice, and prepared grape Kool-Aid.

  3. Shake well until thoroughly chilled.

  4. Add cocktail glitter and gently stir or shake again to distribute the shimmer evenly.

  5. Strain into a chilled cocktail glass or a rocks glass filled with fresh ice.

  6. For the spiderweb garnish, microwave a large marshmallow for approximately 5–10 seconds, just until soft and stretchy. Check it carefully, as marshmallows can become extremely hot.

  7. Once cool enough to handle safely, lightly stretch the marshmallow between your fingers to create thin, web-like strands. Drape the strands across the top of the glass for a creepy spiderweb effect. Avoid touching hot, melted marshmallow, and use a utensil if needed.

What It Tastes Like

Sweet, fruity, and bursting with grape flavor, the Black Widow tastes like your favorite grape candy with a grown-up twist. Durty Gurl Vodka provides a clean base, while grape juice brings a fruity sweetness and grape Kool-Aid adds that nostalgic, candy-like punch. Cocktail glitter gives the drink a magical shimmer, making every sip feel like a little Halloween potion. The marshmallow spiderweb adds a playful finishing touch, turning this vibrant purple cocktail into a spooky showstopper. It's sugary, fun, and perfect for anyone who likes their Halloween cocktails a little more treat than trick.

Bartender Tips

★ Make It Sparkle: Use cocktail glitter specifically labeled as edible and suitable for beverages. Add a small amount at a time and stir well to create an even, shimmering effect. Check the product label before using it in a drink.

★ Control the Sweetness: Grape juice and grape Kool-Aid can make this cocktail quite sweet. Start with the listed measurements, use plenty of ice, and adjust the grape juice or Kool-Aid to your taste. For a less sugary version, try reducing the Kool-Aid slightly.

★ Create the Perfect Spiderweb: The marshmallow garnish is the star of this cocktail. Microwave it in short intervals, since it can expand quickly and become very hot. Let it cool until safe to handle, then stretch small amounts into thin strands. Add the web just before serving for the best look, and keep the strands mostly above the liquid so they don't dissolve too quickly.
